In 1984 in the state of Georgia, a sothern rock group with a kick ass sound was born. Chris and Rich Robinson first formed the band and it took off from there. With Chris on vocals,Rich on guitar,Jeff Cease on guitar, Steve Gorman on drums and cymbols and Johnny Colt on the bass they could produce fast upbeat sound wth a mellow background. There first hit was a cover of Otis Redding's "Hard to Handle".That is when they hit the charts flying up the top 40. Eventually, their first cd,"Shake Your Money Maker" would sell over 3 million copies. Their second hit,"She Talks to Angels" made it to the top 40 too in the spring og 1991. They then released a second album. "Southern Harmony and Musical Companion".It hit the charts at number one but did not have as many hit singles."Thorn in My Pride" and "Remedy" was all. They released two more albums, "Amorica" and "Three Snakes and One Charm" but neither did to well. They then fired a gutarist who had appered during the middle of their career nad collaberated with Led Zeppelin's guitarist Jimmy Page. The band then began falling a part. Steve Gorman was fired and Chris Robinson soon after announced he would be doing a solo career. They were over.
