BLADESRAGE
The Blade started playing and writing songs in the early 80's. While in college, he hooked upwith a couple of guyswho shared his passion for playing original material. After months of grueling rehearsals the band was ready to showcase the act for live audiences. As the house act the band warmed up for such acts as, The Red Hot Chili peppers, Black Flag, and Fishbone.
The band achieved a cult following but never hit the national spotlight. The band tore apart. Although disheartened Blade never gave up writing and playing his music. Blade wrote songs so unique he knew they must be recorded. A phone call to childhood friend Tony Smith was just what the doctor ordered.
Tony Smith:Drums
The phone call was not a suprise to Smith,he knew Blade from other projects and was a natural fit. Tony had an extensive background in touring and gigging and jammed with Blade many times. With Smith aboard the next step was to find a third member to cement this heavy rhythm section.
Dr. Dan Knollenberg:Bass Guitar
Knowing both Blade and Tony as friends and jam partners,the Dr. fit like an old shoe. Knollenberg had a playing style that attacked and blended with the songs to complete the power trio. Now with the rhythm section firmly established the only element missing was a flashy lead guitarist that looked,loved,and played the part.
Chris Hoyt:Lead Guitar
Known for his flashy leads and lightning fingers,Chris has been an established player for years.Tony played with hoyt before and knew his riffs would be a perfect marrige for BLADESRAGE. A few sessions and studio time later the music became a reality. THE FRESHEST,HEAVIEST,AND THE MOST HARD DRIVING MUSIC OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM!!!! |
