It all began in the year 1992. A band in San Diego was formed by three rulers of rock. Or you could say, "soon to become rulers of rock". The band's members were Tom Delonge on electric guitar , Mark Hoppus on bass, and Scott Raynor on drumbs. In the year 1993 Blink-182 had decided on the band name Blink. They then released a cassette only demo called Flyswatter. Soon after that, a lawsuit from an irish band with pretty much the same exact name as blink, had forced the trio to change their band name from Blink to Blink-182. Then in 1994, they released their first full length album on cd called "Buddha", which was not very much of a good success. But Later in the year, Blink-182 signed with the grilled cheeselabel and cargo records so they could release a full length album featuring a few songs from Buddha. The album cheshire cat had 16 songs and two singles called M+Ms and Wasting Time, and those singles got blink-182 on the road to success. Three years later, Blink-182 released another cargo records cd entitled "Dude Ranch", which got them to become very popular. Dude ranch had 15 songs. There were 5 singles from the cds such as "Dammit (growing up) which hit nation wide, or Josie which also hit nation wide. The other singles were Dick Lips, Apple Shampoo, and Lemmings which was released earlier in 1995 as a single. After Dude Ranch's success had passed, scott raynor left the band, and was soon replaced with drummer Travis Barker. Travis Barker had joined the band just in time, because their next album "Enema of the State" which was released in 1999, would sell out fast. Enema of the State went multi-platinum all across the world selling millions of copies everywhere. The cd had three singles which were, What's My Age Again?, All the Small Things, and Adam's Song.Blink-182 went and performed their concert for the Enema of the State album, and a few songs from dude ranch and cheshire cat, and recorded this whole live concert onto the most popular blink-182 album, "The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show", which was released in 2000 and sold millions of records everywhere. The live album featured a new hit single song called Man Overboard. After that they toured the world performing concerts everywhere. When they got back, they began working on the next album entitled "Take off Your Pants and Jacket". The album was released in June 2001, it featured three hit singles and sold almost as much copies as Enema of the State. The singles from the album were The Rock Show, Stay Together For the Kids, and the ever popular First date which was always being played on the radio. They then went on a japan tour and performed live in Tokyo. When the got back to the U.S. , they started working on the next album. The album was not finished for two and a half years. In october 2003, blink-182 released a single from their new album which would be released soon. The single was entitled Feeling This. The song Feeling this became very popular very quickly. Soon after that, they finished shooting the video for feeling this and released in the same month as the single was released. Blink-182 released their next album in November, and this album was self-titled. It also had three singles, which were Feeling This, as you know, I miss you which soon on January 26th had released it's video, and Stockholm syndrome which would be released as a single soon. Blink-182 has become a very successful band and will get better in the future.
