Inspiration...the burden
The happy moments and strongest emotions in life often become what we thrive on as musicians, using them to form words and sounds. In other terms, a life lacking events kills inspiration.

Nonetheless, there is yet another side to this...and that reason is why I'm writing this entry. Its the fact that the tragic and horrible times are also a strong fuel for inspiration. It was my turn to be struck by it...

A girl, a friend that was very dear to me, lost her life in a car accident some two weeks ago. I learned about it eventually late at night the same day.
Putting myself to bed I somehow had to compose for her, and a structure came to mind, before any true sound was worked on.

The next morning, with my guitar and some loose paper, I composed a classical / acoustic piece like nothing I had done before...sad, romantic, totally fitting. In a single day it was completed and everything I felt for her was heard in the song.

Now that the sorrow has faded, I'm proud of my work. It'll help keep her in my memories forever. Maybe you'll hear it here on iSound, but I have yet to record it.

Well I'm out, so don't hide away because of your musical ambition, find time to spend with friends and family, go out and have fun...in the end you may write masterpieces a lot easier.
