Maybe it's me, but I find more and more that local, unsigned talent often has more to offer than big headliners. It seems like everyone is running after the money and recognition rather than just making good music. It might be about the ratings for some but music is much more than that. It's a living breathing journal of the artists perception of their existance. Of their own path of evolution. As long as your true to yourself and your music reflects how you feel, chances are people will be drawn in to you, and will be that much more faithful as an audience than if you go for the quick sale. Hooks and gimmicks might get the ball rolling but what was that saying? What goes up...

jimzsta's comment posted March 8th @ 3:42 PM: eloquently put! a great blogg with which i think many people will agree.
For so many years now bloody accountants and lawyers have controlled the music industry, and of course they ruin everything else on this planet that they touch and now they have sucked the music industry dry, and now they are screwed because people have started a music revolution using the internet. no longer do we have to tolerate the puerille one hit wonder junk fed to us by these idiots for so long, because now we can go online and find something we consider good, ive heard so much talent online over the last couple of years and it just keeps getting better. good luck to all !! keep "it coming"!

Perfecto. |
