Thursday, June 30th, 2005 Up in the world Hello, this is my first blog.
I only ever do things like this when I'm bored, well it is true, Im sat in a business studies lesson, completely ignoring everything thats going on around me to type this loada bull poo!
Phrase of the week comes from Derek from the infamous Big Brother, 'Its all a load of pussy-bumping'
Quality line there! Made me Laugh my ass off!
Anyway whats up in the world of music then? Its been quite quiet recently, just a few albums making their way onto the shop shelves, jus to mention a few:
InMe -White Butterfly
Gratitude - Gratitude
Audislave - Out of Exile
Foo Fighters - In your Honour
Funeral for a Friend - Hours
Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil
Finch - Say hello to Sunshine
Can't wait for the new A album though, teen dance ordinamce i think its called. I heard The Rush Song on the radio the other day, sounds absolutely amazing, Must buy...right there!
Not to brag or anything, but I have been to a few HUGE gigs in the past few weeks! It had been a mind-blowing 10 days.
Ist of all it was System of a Down at Manchester M.E.N Arena! Oh my god did they not disappoint! With a huge arena filled with the smell of guanj, system rockin the show, it was great.
A few surprises here and there, such as Mr Jack and Roulette, However they did play all the favourite, BYOB opened the night, after a low key opening of the soldier side intro played solely by Daron! As the screen came down, it was pure mayhem. Serj was on top form, to say the least.
Got totally pummeled in the pit through needles and bounce, Looking around me watchin thousands of people jump to bounce was crazy!
Finishing on Sugar, as they almost always do, was great. Lovin the intro of that as Daron on funny microphone micked Limp-Bizkit's intro to Chocoalte starfish album. 'This is not a test!'
Hilarious!
And then it was off to Milton Keynes National Bowl, near london! And if ya know where abouts I live, (longton, preston), milton keynes is a bit of a treck! But nethertheless it was worth it! The whole place was like your very own festival, it had the works, jus not the crazy magic mushroom stall here mind! Well selling water at 3quid a bottle but then having a multiple tap with drinking water was a bit silly! Mind you people still were dumb-stupid enough to buy the damn water! Fools!
Hard - Fi opened up, not quite what I was expecting, more of an Indie band than punk rock!
Taking Back Sunday were the best performance from the three support, Having not seen them before, and loving the album where you want to be, i guess im slightly biased! :P
But all the same they were brilliant! Most of the set consisted of latest album material, which I wasn't to up[set about mind, but the did play Cute without the E, gotta go il send anotherr blog later,
