If the World was a Village.
If the World was a Village of 100* people and we had Known them all our lives would this help us to empathise.

HEALTH:

75 Have access to a source of safe water either within their homes or within a short Distance. The other 25 do not and must spend a large part of each day simply getting safe water. Most of the work of collecting water is done by Women and Girls.
Only 60 Have adequate Sanitation 40 do not
And 32 Breathe polluted air.

LANGUAGE:

of the 88 old enough to read 17 cannot read at all

We are within the 9 that speak English But there are whole Worlds of Culture and understanding that we cannot cross because of Language Barriers. On a fundemental level There have been cases where people have died because Doctors have been unaware of Medical Studies done in other Languages that could have prevented those Deaths.

WEALTH:

The richest 20 have more than £5600 a year

Pooresr 20 have less than 65p a day

50 are often Hungry

SOME MORE THINGS WE CONSIDER AS NECESSITIES:

76 Have Electricity
42 Radios
24 have televisions
30 have phones About half of Phones are Mobiles.
Only 10 have Computers
(It's debatable whether we are better off having some of theese.)
