Taste Of Chaos
The show was amazing. This really shitty band went on first. They were bad. I don't remember their name. They were one of the Myspace bands. Funeral for a friend went on first. They were great. During the first couple songs, people were just insane. Aj and I were near the front, and I had to get out. I punched a girl in the face cause she wouldn't get out of my way. Adrenaline is a nasty thing. I tripped when I got near the back, and fell over, cause some dick wouldn't move. I landed on my back, and some security dude thought I passed out, cause he rushed over and pulled me up, and pointed to the water fountains [remember, this is in the civic center, so I was down on the floor] so I had to go upstairs. I saw shane and met brooke. yay for me ^_^. I talked to them, hugged them, and then AJ found me. He hung out for a bit, then, while some other band went on the small myspace stage, The Smashup, I think, we went up to the merch area, and met Funeral For A Friend, cause they were doing signings. They were so rad. And nice! I got a poster signed for Nina, cause I know she likes them a lot. Besides, I got to meet them and shake their hands and such :D. Story Of The Year is not very good live. Not at all, actually. They played "Until The Day I Die" and I had no clue that was it until it was nearly over :-p. During that, AJ and I were walking around, and the guitarist dude [Vin] from the smashup waved and me and winked. I was confused, so I looked around, pointed to myself, and was like "Me?" and he nodded. He did the "C'mere" thing with his finger, and so AJ and I walked over, started talking to him, and realized he was SMASHED, [maybe that's where they got their name] totally zonked. we went to leave, adn he extended his hand to AJ. he was smiling at me, and opend his arms. I very reluctantly hugged him. Then this band called Adair came on. I didn't really pay much attn. to them. Then As I Lay Dying. After them, We went in line for their autographs while The Recieving End Of Sirens played. The As I Lay Dying guys are wicked rad I shook all their hands. their Lead singer dude signed my arm, cause I write on my arms, and he thought they were autographs. So I held my arm out, and smiled. so he signed my arm. Then, -ohmygod- ATREYU. They were SO amazing. Right after they played "Right Side Of The Bed", We went and got in line for their signing. So I got to meet them. AND OH MY GOD! They're so so nice! shook all their hands. I met atreyu ^_^. almost the highlight of my night. I don't know. It was all pretty rad. After Atreyu, We saw this band called Greeley estates. They were amazing. I was in awe. During thrice, we went to greeley estates Merch table, and talked to them. they are our new friends, cause we seriously talked to them for probably like, an hour. We told them about Mr. Drunk guy hitting on me, and they laughed, said that they were always so drunk that they[greeley] didn't know how they[smashups] could even make it to their performances. We walked past mr. vin drunk-guy, and asked for his autograph, to see if he remembered us. He was too drunk to. He took a huge sharpie from the merch table, and signed my book. he was so out of it that he gave me back my book, and held the sharpie out at me, so AJ said "Ella, I dare you to take it," so i took it. After thrice, these guys named Street Drum Corps came on. they were AMAZING! I was in shock. they bang around on drums and metal pipes and stuff. they're a bunch of punk kids having rad fun. There were PETA people everywhere One of their drummers, Bobby, who has a blonde mohawk, was off on our side of the stage [where we went down into the stands we could see back stage], and we were screaming so loud that he looked over. we were waving, and he waved back. he pointed to himself, did the heart thing with his hand, and pointed to us. we screamed and did it back. later, we went to their table and talked to them. I hugged bobby. He was so awesome. I love people in bands as amazing as them who are still really nice, and not complete cockwads. I must say, I was really let down by the Deftones performance. I was very unimpressed and quite disappointed. We left in the middle of their set. I foud a myspace pin on the ground. Now it's on my backpack. We got free rockstar Energy Drink.
