Is it Love?
He’s on your mind 24/7, he’s all you can talk about, he cracks you up and he makes you quiver. But is it the real thing?
Tell-tale love signs
Checking his horoscope before you’ve checked yours? Wearing stuff that you know he likes? Spending all your monthly minutes on the phone to him? Cant stop thinking about him? Congratulations, it looks like this could be a bona fide love-thing.
Is this the big L?
Sometimes the excitement of actually having a boyfriend can make you think you’re in love. But if it’s not the real thing those feelings will quickly fade and you’ll soon wonder what all the fuss was about.
But if you’ve been together for a while and he still makes you feel warm and slushy, then your mates should prepare themselves for more vom-inducing tales of love and lust.
How is it for him?
Many boys would rather drop hot wax on their willies than say how they’re feeling but you can spot the signs of a guy in love. He’s really polite to your parents and laughs at your dad’s lame jokes. He even lets you drag him around Top Shop without moaning. Of course, the most obvious sign is if he says ‘I love you’. Or if you tell him you do and he says it back. Aaahh.
What’s next?
OK, telling him you love him is a big step but if you’re sure about your feelings, why not express them? Go on, share the love.
But don’t feel pressured into having sex with him before you’re ready. If he loves you he won’t mind what your boundaries are.
And remember: don’t go dropping your mates. In the end, love doesn’t always last forever.
