falling slowly
without a sound
waiting to
hit the ground

i close my eyes
i need to think
what made me step
off of the brink

suddenly,
i'm washed over
with sadness, joy
feelings leftover

i stand on
my feet again
to realize
i have a friend

i'm not alone...
i never was...
here i am
