Haze 30th anniversary gigs & new CDs
Hiyall!
Just to let you know it's all looking good for the two Haze 30th anniversary
shows, at the Peel, Kingston on Saturday 31st May and The Boardwalk
Sheffield on Sunday 1st June.
We are delighted, nay, astonished to announce that those legendary
purveyors of Heavy Wood and slightly out of tune 12 string guitars,
Nottingham's Twice Bitten have confirmed that they will be providing an under-rehearsed support set at both shows, in an attempt to make us
sound better.
Tickets are already on sale for the Boardwalk, from Under the Boardwalk &
Jacks Records or online from Boardwalk tickets for £6. As far as I know there's no advance tickets for The Peel, but you could always ask peelbookings@hotmail.com. Both gigs are £8 on the door. Doors open
7.30pm, Haze on at 8pm, Twice Bitten at 9pm then Haze again 10pm.

We are recording both shows and Cyclops Records will be releasing the
best of them as a double CD, available by 1st September for only £10.
We'll be taking advance orders at the gigs.

Cyclops are also reissuing "Stoat & Bottle" on CD, it's a limited edition
pressing of 1000 and includes the whole original album plus "Shadows"
and 5 other bonus tracks. Only £8, postage free from Haze 25 Fir St
Sheffield S6 3TG available from 31/05/2008

We have reissued the 10th anniversary show as a double CD-R for only £8,
available now postage free from Haze 25 Fir St Sheffield S6 3TG

I can now accept paypal payment, just email me with which CDs you want
& I'll send you a payment request.

All the old CDs, "Cellar Replayed" from Haze, "Haze" & "Wilderness of
Eden" from World Turtle & "New Worlds" from Von Daniken can be picked
up for a song on ebay, check out:-
My Ebay

Most of the above is online here:-
Haze 30th anniversary news
And hopefully I'll keep updating it. Hopefully...

The current gig list is here:-
Gig List

But a couple of exciting ones to note are:-

Tues 6th May Treebeard Green Party Benefit at West St Live, Sheffield -
OK maybe not exciting, but a good cause, and while you're at it, vote me!

Sat 10th May Holmfirth Festival Treebeard & Paul Pearson at the White
Hart 8.30-11pm There'll be lots of morris dancers & stuff, but if you can
dodge them, it should be OK!
Holmfirth Festival

Mon 26th May Someone called the Rodents of Unusual Size at the Dove &
Rainbow, Hartshead Square, Sheffield. Wouldn't be some old hippies
rehearsing for their 30th anniversary, would it?

Sat 31th May Haze & Twice Bitten The Peel, Kingston
Sun 1st June Haze & Twice Bitten The Boardwalk, Sheffield

Tues 5th Aug The Outlandish Knights, The Anchor Gardens, Sidmouth
Folk Festival (4-7pm). Our ceilidh band, Haze play folk, well actually Cat & Ceri play folk & we just do what we usually do. Check out:-
The Outlandish Knights
if you don't believe me!

Wed 6th Aug Treebeard at the Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court,
London. I know, Treebeard at Earls Court, hard to believe, but not as hard as:-
Thur 7th Aug Treebeard Cropredy Festival. OK, we're on in the Brasenose
Arms, 12.30-2pm, probably before most of you have even put your tents
up!

Finally, if any of you are involved in any form of the media:- press,
radio, TV, internet bedroom bloggers, whatever, please give us a plug for
the Haze shows & let me know if you need press packs, promo stuff,
bribes of chocolate or drugs, or would be interested in interviewing us or
risk letting us loose with a live acoustic session?
Cheers,

PS OK, while I'm begging, we're trying to put together a 30th anniversary
European tour for October time, so if anyone can help out, please shout!
