| Wednesday, August 16th, 2006 Solar Flare Signs of Horrific New Solar Cycle to Begin
by Mitch Battros - ECM/ECTV
On July 31st, a small sunspot was viewed and recorded. This finding which shows the first sunspot in ‘magnetic reverse’, suggest the ushering in of a new solar cycle. This one would be “Cycle 24”. Solar physicists have known that sunspot magnetic fields reverse polarity from cycle to cycle. North becomes South and South becomes North.
David Hathaway, a solar physicist at the Marshall Space Flight in Huntsville, Alabama states "A backward sunspot is a sign that the next solar cycle is beginning." The term ‘backwards’ as used by Hathaway means the magnetic lay-lines of a sunspot(s) have reversed.
As heard “live” on the ECM/ECTV “Radio Hour”, Dr. Mausumi Dikpati research scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado disclosed for the first time on national and international air-waves, “Cycle 24 will be up to 50% stronger than the current cycle (Cycle 23)”. Cycle 23 delivered the largest solar flare ‘ever recorded’. The November 4th 2003 solar flare was estimated to be an X-45. Up until this time, all measuring instruments stopped at X-9.
Dr. Dikpati Interview: http://www.earthchangestv.com/secure/2004/article_12487.php
Sunspots are planet-sized magnets created by the Sun's inner magnetic dynamo. Like all magnets in the Universe, sunspots have north (N) and south (S) magnetic poles. The sunspot of July 31st popped up at solar longitude 65o W, latitude 13o S. sunspots in that area are normally oriented N-S. The newcomer, however, was S-N, opposite the norm.
Scientists are still debating if this latest sunspot reversal is in fact the tale-tell sign a new cycle has begun. As we know, sunspots last several days and often survive passing through the ‘far-side’ of the Sun giving the sunspot a longer life which could last a month or more. This July 31st event only lasted three hours giving some researchers a “wait-and-see” posture.
The revving up of this new solar cycle will take several months to begin to show its true power. The “apex” or ‘maximum’ should be towards the end of 2011-2012. Yes folks, the maximum power which indicates Cycle 24’s most damaging period lands right smack in the middle of Mayan prophecy. This will certainly be quite interesting. That is---if we don’t nuke ourselves right out of existence before then.
Equation:
Sunspots => Solar Flares => Magnetic Field Shift => Shifting Ocean and Jet Stream Currents => Extreme Weather and Human Disruption (mitch battros)

| Monday, August 7th, 2006 Stormy Geomagnetic Weather Early this morning a ‘high-moderate’ geomagnetic storm registered at ‘6’ on a scale from 0 – 9. A geomagnetic storm occurs when charged particles which come from various solar winds. This often comes directly from our Sun in the way of solar flares, CME’s (coronal mass ejections) and coronal holes. But these waves of charged particles can also originate from outside our solar system in the form of GRB’s (gamma ray burst).
Geomagnetic Storm (Kp Index) http://www.sec.noaa.gov/rt_plots/kp_3d.html
GRB’s are short-lived bursts of gamma-ray photons, the most energetic form of light. At least some of them are associated with a special type of supernovae, the explosions marking the deaths of especially massive stars.
Lasting anywhere from a few milliseconds to several minutes, gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) shine hundreds of times brighter than a typical supernova and about a million trillion times as bright as the Sun, making them briefly the brightest source of cosmic gamma-ray photons in the observable Universe. GRBs are detected roughly once per day from wholly random directions of the sky.
The exact causal effect to Earth is generally unknown. Since this form of ‘high spectrum’ energy is less dense than say solar flares or CME’s, some researchers speculate it would not be as damaging “weather wise” as Sun induced waves. However, current data suggest it could be far more damaging in the way of “radiation”.
Currently the verdict is out regarding the “Equation” and its contribution to severe weather. I will continue to monitor events and note repeated able outcomes and its related predictability. If you wish to join this research, simple send in any reports your have from your local area of “severe, freak, or unusual” weather events. Send to ectv@earthlink.net.

Until recently, GRBs were arguably the biggest mystery in high-energy astronomy. They were discovered serendipitously in the late 1960s by U.S. military satellites which were on the look out for Soviet nuclear testing in violation of the atmospheric nuclear test ban treaty. These satellites carried gamma ray detectors since a nuclear explosion produces gamma rays. As recently as the early 1990s, astronomers didn't even know if GRBs originated at the edge of our solar system, in our Milky Way Galaxy or incredibly far away near the edge of the observable Universe. But now a slew of satellite observations, follow-up ground-based observations, and theoretical work have allowed astronomers to link GRBs to supernovae in distant galaxies.

| Tuesday, August 1st, 2006 2012-Cycle End? 2012 - Cycle End? - December 23rd, 2012: "Interpreted by the modern dating system, the Mayan calendars not only depict the length of each of the 'suns' and nature of each of the catastrophes, but they also calculate the end of the present, fifth sun. The day will be 4 Ahau 3 Kankin, and it will be ruled by the Sun God, or ninth Lord of the Night. The moon will be eight days old, and it will be the third lunation in a series of six. The date corresponds to 23 December AD 2012. Modern astrologers who have charted the Mayan date for the end of the Fifth Sun calculate that there will be a most peculiar arrangement of planets at the time, indeed an arrangement so peculiar that it can only occur once in 45,200 years. [....] From this extraordinary pattern we might well expect an extraordinary effect." [Link: 1]
Trivia: "This cycle, also called the Great Cycle, lasts exactly 1,872,000 kin, 260 katun, 5200 tun, or approximately 5125.36 years. After years of considering data from archeology, ethnography, iconography, and astronomy, Mayanologists have determined that the date 0.0.0.0.0 corresponds to the Julian date 854283, which equates to August 11, 3114 BC in the Gregorian calendar. [....] The end date, 13.0.0.0.0 corresponds to the date December 21, 2012 AD. [....] The Maya considered the period of this Great Cycle to be equivalent to a World Age, or Sun, and thus the 5200 tun Long Count reflects a creation epoch. [....] The purpose of this cycle, which the Maya calibrated and mapped as the Long Count, was specially engineered to raise the frequency of vibration of humanity, the planet, and the solar system through a quickening and transformation of matter. This cycle climaxes when the entire historic process converges in the direction of the now, beyond the third dimension. As the Earth moves into a higher vibrational state, our collective reality will phase into synchronization with the larger galactic frame of reference. [....] The most well known prophetic icon in Mesoamerican culture is the sunstone calendar which depicts the five ages. Along the circumference of this image we find the twenty day glyphs that we’ve been talking about. The four square boxes located around the center circle symbolize the four previous ages. The figure in the center represents the present fifth and final age. As described in the previous section, a world age can be represented by the 5200 tun Great Cycle. Five Great Cycles (5 x 5200) equals one Grand Cycle of 26000 tun (remember 1 tun equals 360 days). The details of the creation and dissolution of these five ages are summarized in the Popul Vu creation myth. This cycle, slightly less than 26000 years, is specifically related to the precession of the equinoxes, which is caused by the 23 degree tilt in the Earth’s axis. [....] From this perspective, we are not only nearing the end of the Great Cycle of history, but we are about to close out an entire 26000 year Grand Cycle period of evolution. [....] The relevant connection between the Sun, the Sacred Tree, and the Mayan Calendar is shockingly simple. Researchers have discovered that the end of the Mayan Long Count coincides with a rare alignment between the Earth, the Sun, and the Galaxy. Specifically, the alignment we are talking about occurs when the winter solstice Sun of the year 2012 AD conjuncts the Sacred Tree (formed by the intersection of the ecliptic and the Milky Way). To be more precise, the solstice Sun aligns with the ecliptic and the galactic equator, which is the imaginary line that marks the center of the Milky Way band. Presently, the Milky Way crosses the ecliptic through the constellation of Sagittarius, which also happens to be the direction of Galactic Center. In other words, on the morning of Dec 12, 2012, we will witness the heliacal rising of the Galactic Center with the winter solstice Sun as they emerge together over the Eastern horizon. This convergence is determined by precession. It should be noted that the Sun conjuncts the Sacred Tree on December 3, 755 AD; however, precession has caused the conjunction date to approach the winter solstice. [....] The end of the 5th Sun was interpreted by the Maya to be the time of the release of the soul from the density of matter through a cosmic awakening of the divine plan."

| Monday, July 10th, 2006 Maniac Was invited twice, this is the third time of going down his long list of MP3's trying to find something that didn't have a curse word in it, or a song that didn't recommend to society to smoke up, dope up or drink up. What is THAT all about. Anyway, I've added him. Why? Because his music is actually pretty good. Skipping the lyrics and listening to the beat, I could actually get in to "some" of it. Message to Maniac - "If you want to "shock and impress" the public, start singing about things that matter, i.e; the war in Iraq, Global Warming, the Chaos of Mother Nature, etc. Get out of the ghetto and step in to a higher realm." It's a bigger world out there with plenty to rap about.

| Saturday, July 1st, 2006 Check it out Welcome to my page on iSound.com. I was invited here by a friend of mine, Steve Robinson. If you get a chance, check out his song "Water". Steve just sat down and in one take, created this song. Also, at the age of 14, he was inspired to pick up a guitar and simply by playing around created "Man Named Joe". Give them a listen, you won't be sorry you tuned in to it. Rate it, add him to your profile. This man has talent!
