DIG THIS!
i just got the special edition double disc dvd of DIG! it's a documentary that gives a deep look into the lives of two bands who were followed by cameras for seven years. the dandy warhols dominate the movie in their own right, but what can you do when courtney taylor-taylor is the narrator. the brian jonestown massacre share the spotlight ,but really, the movie focused on the self destruction of anton newcombe. this wasnt intentional but alot get seen when your life is taped for seven years. anton is a creative genius who seems like he should lead his own cult.he is also the lead singer of the BJM. in the begining, anton and courtney were friends. close friends. and with courtney being the lead singer for the dandy warhols and anton singing for the BJM, their bands ended up hanging out together. at the time, niehter of the bands were signed, but eventually, Capitol records heard the dandy's and signed them. the BJM were left in the dust so they got jealous.it was all downhill from there. even though the idea is depressing, the movie itself is hilarious. joel gion of the BJM is the funniest untapped comedian ever. he turns everything into pure comedy gold. plus, zia takes off her shirt

al those half wits out there who think you can tell everyone whats goth and whats not need to back off. youre not the gods of goth rock so shut up about it. whats makes you think you have the right to decide whats goth and whats not?rock genres are stupid anyway
