Formed in 1989 in Colchester, England, Blur rode the then trendy wave of the baggy trousers set made up of bands like the stone roses, happy mondays and the inspiral carpets, after trading their original name(Seymour), Blur made a startling debut with Leisure, an infectious spirited album with hits like theres no other way and she`s so high there seemed a charming naivety about there tales of middle class English living , led by vocalist Damon Albarm they bettered themselves with Parklife and despite a press battle with Oasis for brit-pop dominance, blur seems to be ever maturing lyrically and otherwise
