Its's been said that Virginia is the birthplace of soul and Bobby Blunt a.k.a. Bernard Eure is a pure representative of that. The singer, songwriter, and emcee hails from Norfolk, Virginia. He is what many say is the next up since D'Angelo to carry the torch for VA's soul survivors.
Pieces of a Fine Haze EP is his second solo offering, picking up where the Soulfulistic EP left off. It is a purely soulful album that focuses more on the singer rather than the emcee. With production by himself and fellow music mates Dusty Rhodes and Nice Rec, the vibe of the album fits perfectly with the style of production. From the begining to its end, each song has a purpose and meaning designed for the listener to disect. It will be available for streaming and downloading on bobbyblunt.bandcamp.com and others sites like Myspace etc.
Bobby blunt is a lot of things. He is one half of the group Aries Connection, one third of the group Blacc Bobbi, and he is part of a collective of artist known as Goulash Music. The material he has helped produced have reach the ears of people like Shay from VA's own N.E.R.D. to listeners from the UK, Netherlands, and Germany. He and his collective are expanding not only the way people see soul but how they hear it as well.
