The sexy recording artist Bobby Glover has been performing to loyal and expanding fan base. With 50 original song set list, Bobby made headlines at clubs and college in Chicago through Texas with over 150 performances to date.
In 1996 Bobby released a seven song cd entitled “Gotta Go Gotta Go”. During the first month, the CD sold 1000 copies locally by hand. Both college and mainstream radio stations have welcomed the material with admiration. Radio stations WCRX (Chicago) KTUH (Honolulu) WMUC (Maryland), KUCR 88.3 (California), WHPK (Chicago) have helped to promote Bobby’s CD.
Out of desire to perform, Bobby has a sound commitment to his audience by putting on one of the most exciting and intense live performance of any solo artist today.
Bobby Glover was born and raised on the West Side of Chicago.
“Tough” Bobby says of his childhood, but everything happens for a reason.
Spending most of his youth washing cars and playing basketball and getting into fights with neighborhood bullies, because he was a very skinny kid with a baby face and they would always pick on him and try to take his money. The guidance from his mother and grammar school teacher helped Bobby stay away from gangs and turn to washing cars and playing basketball and eventually music.
In the 90’s Bobby Glover rose out as a solo artist into the lime light of Dance, R&B, and Pop music industry with his smooth style and songwriting.
1990 at the turn of the decade, Bobby was making money washing cars, collecting cans and performing his music to an audience-it was on the streets of Chicago.
1992 In June, bobby was arrested in Chicago for disorderly conduct for being overly aggressive when a gang jumping on him, during the scuffle Bobby was so angry that he didn’t realize that the policemen where trying to help him. And he was only trying to protect himself and he still got locked up for one day. WOW!!! THAT”S CRAZY!!
1993 Bobby was one of the top finalists in rap competition on the South side of Chicago and second place for originality and talent against a well locally known rapper called Tongue Twister who took first place.
1994 Bobby performed for the non-for profit organization Blue Cross Blue Shield to help raise money for Abused Women and Children charity.
1995 Bobby performed for the non-for profit organization Blue Cross Blue Shield to help feed the homeless.
1996 Bobby performed in a local talent contest and won award and a chance to go on tour with local independent record labels.
1996 Bobby started his own record label called Lover Productions Music Entertainment. Bobby then released his first dance single Gotta Go Gotta Go off his new label in which he sold 1000 copies by hand.
1997 Bobby began his first tour with independent record labels such as Strictly D Records and Various Artists.
1998 Bobby built his own self made recording studio
1999 Received coach of the year award for youth program on the north side of Chicago known as the edge water community.
2000 Modeled for the fashion designer Anre for the Black Expo at the McCormick Place in downtown Chicago
2001 Started independent film project with director Zenal Shackleford
2002 Bobby started promoting his new rap group called Da Street Dawgz from Miami Florida.
2003 Bobby completed his first album (Bobby COOL) that he wrote, produced, and arranged by himself.
2004 Self marketed his talent and created his own website
2005 Performing, writing and producing music for independent recording artists and bands nationwide.
2006 Got leading role in a musical play called (DREAMS)at the Fine Atrs Theatre in downtown Chicago. Showtime December 22, 2006 through January 8, 2007.
2006 Made the Performing Arts Olympic team to compete in Burbank California August July 10, 2007 through August 5, 2007.
