The band Boston was formed in the mind of Tom Scholz in the mid 70's. He was attending M.I.T. at the time, earning his Masters Degree and working as a senior product designer at Polaroid Corporation. He built basically everything in his basement studio, and released a tape, playing all the instruments himself. Epic records stumbled across the tape and signed Boston. So Tom got a group of local musicians and re-recorded the album in 1976. Their debut album, with the help of the first single More Than A Feeling, was the fastest selling debut in rock history. It's catchy vocals by Brad Delp and deeply distorted twin leads were profoundly addictive. The band followed up their debut with Don't Look Back in 1978. Their sophomore album was just as melodic and infectious as their debut, yet sold only 3 million copies. The band released Third Stage in 1986 on MCA records, but failed to match the popularity of their other albums. Walk On, the bands fourth album was received better than their previous attempt, but was still deemed by the public as a "disappointment". The band recently released their greatest hits album, back on Epic on 1997. There is no denying this bands gigantic influence on the music industry, and their ability to move forward and remembering their famous words..."Don't look back".
