| Box Tactic formed early 2004 under the name of Clowns On Acid. They were a five piece trying to find a sound to call their own. After having created several sets of songs the band started to make a name for themselves in the local area, they decided that they were ready to record a CD. After a dispute between Bennett (lead guitar) and the band, Bennett left Clowns On Acid who were now in need of a guitarist. The band still went on to record the CD and asked Gary Greaves to do the guitar for it.
Before releasing the CD the band adopted the new name `Box Tactic` and the lineup now stands as:-
