Boy Hits Car is made up of CRegg Rondell [Vocals,12 String], Dusty Hunt [Guitar], Bill Gower [Bass], and Johnny Ransom [Drums]. The former Wind-UP Records recording artists are known for playing the sickest, loveliest, ugliest, prettiest, most beautiful, melodic, heartfelt music that the band dubs LoveCore. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2001 and included the hit single "I'm a Cloud."
Having gained a reputation for having one of the most powerful and captivating live shows, these Los Angeles natives have toured with acts such as System of a Down, Incubus, Papa Roach, Flyleaf, among numerous others. The band was featured on the 2001 SnoCore Tour, and recently did a few dates on the '06 SnoCore tour as well (with Seether and Shinedown). They have also made their way through Europe on their own headlining tours and played main stage slots at European festivals like Reading and Leeds in England, as well as Germany's Rock Am Rink and Rock Im Park.
Their latest album The Passage, which was self-financed and co-produced with Steve Bruno, was originally available only through the bands website when it was released independently in 2005. After generating a noticable buzz through just that, they were able to get full statewide distribution through Rock Ridge Music in 2006. The album's single, "Escape the World," was added to Atlantas 105.3 THE BUZZ (Now Project 961) and without the help of a record company it managed to become the #2 as the most requested song back in February '06.
The band is currently recording new material. For more information check out:
