The Brit Hoolas, four young working class men from different parts of Britain with one idea, to create meaningful, fresh and exiting new music with the attitude of great British bands from the 60’s and early 70’s without the limitations and predictability of contemporary bands today .
The Brit Hoolas practice the art of looking back to move forward. Whilst others tend to replicate decades gone by they have taken the energy, passion, dedication and love for what they do to create unique and relevant rock‘n’roll music.
With over eighty original songs written and recorded The Brit Hoolas have already established a collection of songs that stir the emotions and get your stockin’s rockin! However they are probably best loved for their ‘indie power rock’ tracks, from the non-stop energetic but sinister ‘We don’t know who they are’ to the funky ‘Happy get lucky train’, ‘Never thought’ and the more poppy ‘Matey likes to drop his pants’. The energy of which cannot be felt more than at their live shows where they show what their all about. The funky grooving of bass player Eoghan Logue delightfully complements the hard hitting, other worldly drumming of Terry Swain, a modern drummer in the mould of John Bonham and Keith Moon. This energy is carried through to hi-octane, hyper-blues guitarist George Thorogood who along with the outstanding vocals of swaggering frontman Adz Binnie lights up the stage.
The Brit Hoolas are for everyone to enjoy, with songs that deal with empathy, global politics, sexuality and daily life. More importantly they are a band for now.
Fresh, funky, infectious grooves and spine tingling melodies combine to create the unique sound and style of The Brit Hoolas. A style that is itching to give the whole world a British boot in the backside!
The Brit Hoolas……they're British don’t you know! |
