BULLET TREATMENT ...... Where to begin, the self proclaimed band that doesn't exist, has actually made quite a mark on the map this last year, the "What More Do You Want" e.p. was released on
Basement Records (attached are a few review excerpts), the cd was listed as one of the top ten records of the year in AMP Magazine along side such notables as GREEN DAY & AGAINST ME. It came in at number 38 for punk record played on XM Satellite radio's Take Warning Show. Not bad for a band that
basically doesn't exist.......does that make sense ? Well I don't know how familiar you are with this little
project so here's a real short version by guitarist D.C.: "Basically I get different guys to play on everything, I always rotate guys including myself and
if we play a show there's always a different line-up....sounds a little confusing but I wanted to do something that hadn't been done before at the time, I'm sure someone has already trademarked the idea by now. The e.p. features Matt singing, you may know his other band THE BRONX. The new records
that will be coming out will have various versions of the line-ups.....I think. It's really hard to explain so if you got the time maybe check out the site and read a couple of interviews (www.bullettreatment.com) and hopefully it will make more sense. The idea
is to later this year release a split record with two different versions of the same band, now you've got to
be confused !!!" If fans haven't already figured it out yet, that sort of spontaneity is part of what keeps Bullet Treatment's music so full of energy. Vocalsit, Matt, belted out songs such as "Salvation", "Is It What You Tasted", and "Drop Out" from the e.p. in single takes while literally writing the lyrics in the studio. While at the same time tracks were being recorded for a different version of the band. Confused ????? Well that's kinda the point...... The whole success behind this band's music is that although it seems as if listeners are being hit with auditory chaos, there's an underlying melody and point. Bullet Treatment is not one of those ridiculous
bands who make a lot of noise for nothing. The riffs, the beats, the lyrics - it all falls together in a kind of spontaneous succession. "I think people are starting to warm up to the idea of something fresh like this cause we just landed a sponsorship with AMERIKAN CLOTHING which also has THE BRONX, THE NEEDLES & STRUNG OUT in their stable. They "Get it", if you don't that's fine too because honestly I even get confused from time to time." We just know we want to get our music exposed anywhere & everywhere possible, and when I say "we" I mean everyone that's been involved in this project (last count I think was around 15 or so) we all do this cause we love punk rock. Since we rotate guys, you may like a certain release and hate the next, but that's what's cool...it's like collecting baseball cards (I'll give you those 2 7" for that cd !!!).
