| No. Buzzcocks did something special. They didn't try to be like Sex Pistols. They made great music. I love Buzzcocks. | Green_Hell |
| What's with these morons comparing Buzzcocks to Sex Pistols. Hello, Sex Pistols are fucken sacred. Buzzcocks are like fucken badass. Not as great as Sex Pistols, but you cannot say they fucken copied Sex Pistols. It just comes to show how ignorant and iliterate people are when it comes to punk music. Have you ever heard about The Adicts? | ILoveSidVicious |
| sorry, illiterate | ILoveSidVicious |
man, the 'cocks are NOTHING like the Pistols.
both were special bands, but the buzzcocks were the original pop punk band, whereas Sex Pistols were the original punk band. | lobotomyactivist-II |
Actually the first pop punk band was the Undertones I beleave. And the Sex Pistols were the first HUGE punk band but not the first. The're were several punk bands in pubs and crap before the Sex Pistols, and The Damned released the first punk single. | L1th1um |
yeah, I was saying original in a sense like "early", not "first"
sorry if it was unclear | lobotomyactivist-II |
| Oh I see. | L1th1um |
you guys need to stop worrying about who copied who, cause it doesn't matter. the sex pistols were cool, but if it hadn't been for the New York Dolls, the Modern Lovers, the Stooges, the MC5, and the Ramones---they wouldn't have existed. they were a shock band. they were the 1977 version of marilyn manson, and in my book, way overrated. they did inspire alot of people to start bands, but most of those bands turned out better. the buzzcocks are a perfect example. also, you could say that supergrass "copies" the buzzcocks, but they are still one of the best bands on the planet today, so who cares? | zelig77 |
