| Camera was formed in 2002 in Pittsburgh, PA. The band embodies a sound characterized as invasion-influenced pop. As original as it is classic, the band's bounce and smooth harmonies freshen up a timeless pop structure
In July of 2002, Shane Sahene joined Joe Dello Stritto to form their new endeavor, Camera. Shane and Joe have a musical connection spanning almost three years. Cory Allen joined on guitar in January 2005 and Justin Chechile joined on drums in August 2005, both enhancing the unique rhythm of the band. Completing the lineup is Nate Fitzgerald aka N8theSK8, organist/musician extraordinaire.
Camera's inspiring sound is created by an incredibly experienced and well-disciplined group of musicians:
Camera's recognition has earned them opening spots for The Von Bondies, Hot Hot Heat, The Secret Machines, Death From Above 1979, The High Dials, Asobi Seksu, Modey Lemon, The Fever, Rainer Maria, and Longwave. The band has also played at events such as Blowup in Toronto, American Mod in Pittsburgh, the 2003 CMJ Media Marathon in NYC, and the 2005 NXNE Music Festival in Toronto. Camera was chosen by Being There Magazine as one of the Best Acts of 2005 NXNE.
As a touring band, Camera desires to bring the Beat Club with them. To strip the kids starved by empty television with a little GO! GO!
