| Check out our official site at www.Candellamusic.com !!!!! Candella began in the summer of 2003 in a little hick town known as Bergen. The bands singer/rhythm guitarists, Lee Goodale, formally of the bands Chizel and Fusionn, were introduced to lead guitar player Mike Bassett, formally of Page Thirteen. At the time the band was known as HollowGround and even has a 5 song demo floating around somewhere in Bergen N.Y. The Project never lasted and Mike and Lee went their separate ways. While Mike explored other genres of music, Lee continued his passion for hard rock. Mike finally grew back his testicles in May of 2004 and found himself back in the hard rock scene. He and Lee decided to reunite and form what is now known as Candella. Together with melodic riffs and soaring vocals the two began to write a number of songs that would create the bands set list used today. In July of 2004 Mike Derue would join the band on the drums and the three continued to write while still struggling to find a fourth member on the bass completing the line up. In December Dan Scalzo, a punk/ metal driven bass player accepted the position and Candella is complete. |
