Carlington Roberts is a gospel vocalist with the soul of Pastor Donnie McClurkin and the contemporary flair of Bebe Winans and Fred Hammond. Born in Kingston Jamaica, was brought up in the church, commenced singing at an early age. In 1995 he migrated to United States currently serves as the Praise and Worship Leader, and Minister of Music at Harvest Time Apostolic Church in Hollywood, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Ansel Drummond.
In February of 2007, Carlington re-located to Atlanta Georgia. Carlington has shared the stage with Don Moen, Vicki Winans, John Peekee, Candi Staton, Stitchie, Junior Tucker, Papa San. He also had the privilege to minister at conferences hosted by Dr. Myles Munroe. In 2005 he was a special guest on TBN, hosted by Steve Brock.
On January 31, 2004, Carlington released his first CD entitled "How Can I Say No?" The CD consists of 4 original songs written by him and highlights his songwriting and vocal aptitude. This CD is currently gaining international air play. He has now completed the much anticipated SOAR! Project released on September 12, 2005. Carlington is in high demand for concerts, weddings, banquets and other gospel events,
Carlington earned multiple nominations for the 2004 Caribbean Gospel Music Award (CGMA) in the Top Gospel Male Performer Caribbean/USA and Top Gospel Caribbean New Artiste categories. Carlington was awarded Top Caribbean Gospel Male Singer at the 2005 Caribbean Gospel Music Awards ceremony staged in Brooklyn, NY on June 4, 2005. His Hit Song SOAR also was nominated for five awards at the Marlin Awards in Nassau Bahamas 2005. On September 2006, Carlington receive an award for best overseas singer of the year at the Maja Awards ceremony in Kingston Jamaica at the Hilton Hotel.
Since then he has toured throughout the United States, Japan, Canada, Barbados, Bahamas, Washington DC, New York, New Jersey, Jamaica and Atlanta Georgia.
To his life God has given direction, and to his gift God has given purpose, his son Giovanni L’J Roberts.
Carlington Roberts is truly a powerful, anointed, unselfish, true minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is a man of positive influence and character, very humble and feared God.
