profiling
First let me say I have heard of Cat Stevens
before and had heard his songs as a child in
the 70's and felt compelled to search out
and find more about him after last nights
plane diversion. I feel it is sad indeed our
country has become so distrustful that all
middle eastern or islamic converts become
profiled. I am married to a wonderful guy
from syria (christian...not that that
matters) that is an officer for the US Public
Health Service. I know there are innocent
people that practice Islam or like my husband
are middle eastern that strive for peace for
their region as well as the world. My husband
finds all acts of terrorism horrendous and
unjustifiable. I listened to a piece of an
interview post 911 that Cat Stevens gave
after which he sang Peace Train...I believe
he is a man of peace and feel saddened he was
treated unjustly by the US. Just my 2 cents
worth but felt it was necessary to voice it.

yeah .. they didnt do it coz it was Cat
Stevens, they did it coz it was Yusuf Islam.
If a famous guy like him can get into
trouble, you can only imagine what the
