Formed in 2000 with the release of Life Cycle, Cathar has came a long way for its roots in heavy metal, transforming its music into something new.
Cathar does not make music for the masses. Instead the music leans to more of a fan base that is tired of the same old boring chords, or the same old sound.
Adam describes Cathar's music as "Somewhat cultured, with a twist of modern day electronics" and "Different, showing the world that just because you use a guitar doesnt mean you have to use the strings to play it".
The most defining thing about Cathar is the fact that it does not fit into any one genre. Each song is made differently, and the style changes from song to song.
A lot of Cathar's music has no vocals. It is these songs that Cathar's message is strongest. The music speaks for itself, changing the listener's feeling without as much as uttering a word.
Only true music lovers, with the ability to "feel" music can truly understand the message behind Cathar's music. |
