Starting back in 1996 Cessation Of Life has been an underground power house performing their brand of Heavy Metal they call "High Velocity Speed Metal" while releasing 4 studio albums, one live album and numerous EP’s. Along with opening for Testament, Death, Nile, Morbid Angel, Deicide, The Haunted, Six Feet Under and Obituary to name just a few they have toured the United States on their own 7 times. They have also performed at many Festival shows around the US including The Monster Of Mosh (South Dakota 1998), The Milwaukee Metal Fest (2000), The Monster Of Mosh (South Dakota 2000), The November To Dismember (California 2000), Cessation Slam (South Dakota 2002), The LA Gates Of Metal 1&2 (2003-2004) and the Seattle Metal Fest (2004)
Some of the bands top achievements include recording with Grammy Award winning record producer John Seymour (Santana’s Super Natural) for their 2005 release “The Glory Of The World Is Passing” as well their ability to drive massive interest at their website pulling in over 3 million visitors and over 7 million hits from 153 countries around the world in just the last two years.
2008 looks very promising with a new CD and video release coming, the release of a new line of merchandise including Men’s and Women’s t-shirts, Buttons, Embroidered Hats, Embroidered Patches and a Sterling Silver Pendant of their HVSM (High Velocity Speed Metal) logo.
