Chenaniah is a new Christian Indie/Alternative Pop Rock band. Right now the "band" consists of only one member - Paul Zarvis. Paul has written the songs, played all the instruments and recorded Chenaniah's music in his home recording studio. It was only 10 years ago that Paul was a heroin addict who ended up in prison (Hence the photo). But while there in 1998, Paul sought out God and God met him there in that jail cell. His life has changed for the better and he's never looked back since. Jesus is the Man!!! In the near future Paul will be looking for other band members based on the popularity of these first few songs.
A bit about the band's name. Chenaniah pronounced Ken-nan-I-ah, was a levite priest in the bible. King David chose him to be the leader of all worship music in the temple because "he was skilful." The story of Chenaniah can be found in the bible in the book of 1st Chronicles chapter 15 verses 22,27.
So Chenaniah is a Christian band but I could find no Genre for it here at i-sound. I hope and pray you enjoy the music and it speaks to you about God. Who knows, you may want to know Him more. That is the best blessing that I could ask for.
