Joe fired from the band!!
I heard Joe was fired from the band by Pete
and Sam they didnt say why.So does any one
else kno this and have info on it cuz i
really wanna kno the hole story behind this

he wasnt fired he just wanted to take a break
from the tour.so he went back home.he wasnt
fired.ther bros i dont think they would fire
one another.but hes gonna be back on the next
tour.right now there usin the former bass

Ok thanx for telling me that cuz i thought
how could they fire their own brother but i
just needed to kno if it was true or what was
up.But i heard it on the radio on tv and so i
was wondering what was goin on. But thanx for

well i heard he was kicked out and that was
it and mtv said that they will get more info

fuckin shit your right farie i was on the mtv
site.the guys lied sayin that he was takin a
break but sam and pete just dropped him.and i
think he posted somthing about that on there
messageboard at there site.then when i went
there i clicked on messageboard and i said
that due to too much posts it is under
construction.or somethin like that.man that

In a posting on the message board of
Chevelle's Web site, former bassist Joe
Loeffler tore his bandmate brothers a new one
and refuted the group's assertion that his
departure was self-imposed. According to Joe,
his bros — drummer Sam and singer/guitarist
Pete — gave him the boot. "This is
exactly what I expected from them. Try and
make it look like I didn't want to be in
the band. I was fired, plain and simple; in
fact, there wasn't even a discussion about
it — they just dropped it on me," he
wrote. "I made no decision and am not
taking a break. I will be working on getting
a new job immediately. A break also means
there's a chance to come back, and nothing
could be farther from reality. I was fired
and they have not said a word to me since. I
would never ask to be back in." Epic
Records, the band's label, would not
comment on Joe's allegation. ...thats what

Chevelle's SAM LOEFFLER and PETE LOEFFLER
have kicked brother JOE LOEFFLER out of the
band!
This is what Sam and Pete statement says on
Chevelleinc.com:
"After three years of non-stop touring
and recording, Joe is taking a break to be
home with family. We'll miss having him on
the road with us, but as his brothers and
bandmates we respect his decision and are
looking forward to getting out there and
playing for the fans. See you on
tour."

However Joe has cried foul, making this
statement on Chevelleinc.com's Message
Board

"First off, very typical. This is
exactly what I expected from them. Try and
make it look like I didn't want to be in
the band. I was fired plain and simple; in
fact there wasn't even a discussion about
it they just dropped it on me. I told them I
would never quit and they would have to fire
me. They were trying to get me to quit and
told my managers that I did. I called sam and
said "why are you doing this?"
and he said we don't want you to come
back. I said I will not quit. The next day
pete called for the first time and said
"did (our managers) call you and tell
you your out?" I said "no, were
they supposed to?" he eventually said
in that short conversation "your
fired". I am insulted by the message
on the front page of the site,(by the way,
thats the first change to the site I've
seen in at least a year!) it is completely
false and out of line. I made no decision and
am not taking a break. I will be working on
getting a new job immediately. A break also
means there's a chance to come back, and
nothing could be farther from reality. I was
fired and they have not said a word to me
since. I would never ask to be back in (why
would I want to after this?) and I never did
in the past when I quit. "We'll

i am so sorry for what i am about to say but
i think sam and pete are jackass if they did
that to their own brother. if joe did nothing
wrong than why just kick him out of the band.
yeah they might still be a good band but i
think that just shows what asses they really
are. like you said before chevelle fan_99
their is no chevelle with out three of them.
i am still a fan but this just makes me mad.
i just don't know why they did that. hell
and they didn't tell him why or what he
could have done to fixed what he did wrong
just "hi joe bye get out your no
longer in the band." i am so sorry but

Yea i kno there has to be sometihng behind
this all between pete and sam. and their just
not saying anything but i hope he comes back
or they tell us the hole reason why hes out
of the band cuz its really shitty of them to
do that like what you fairie and you

something and give a reason their gonna lose
alot of fans probobly but its real upsetting.
i just hope the best for joe i really do and
they still kick ass as a band but it pisses

yeah i just didnt like the fact that they
lied about it and made it seem like joe
wanted to get out.i didnt think pete and sam
would do that.and all the other times that
they did that.i think maybe thats the sixth
time theyve done that to him.cause when i saw
the clincher video it said that joe left the
band 5 times but returned to the band.or
somthing like that.but yeah it does piss me
off that they dropped joe.man i hope they
bring him back.that would kick ass.also
theres somthing also about writin things for
there new album.or somthin jst go to there
website.it would say there.but man i hope

CHEVELLE'S STATEMENT ON THE DEPARTURE OF
BASSIST JOE LOEFFLER
"We've spent 10 great years
building Chevelle, but irreconcilable
differences have led to an unfortunate
parting of ways between Joe and the band.
Chevelle will return to the road for a string
of summer shows, to be followed by writing
sessions for a new album. Thanks to all of
our fans, friends and family for their
continued love and support. We look forward
to seeing all of you on tour. Adds Joe
Loeffler, "This will be positive for
me and my brothers. I'm looking forward to
all of the new opportunities this will make
available to me."

While it sucks that he's fired for
whatever reason, they can take this
opportunity to improve themselves as a
band...Not being mean, but Joe wasn't
anything to write home about on bass...But
them being brothers does make this situation
that much worse...I seriously doubt the whole
story is out yet from anybody, so I
wouldn't start holding grudges against
Same or Pete just yet...This type of stuff
happens all the time in the business (maybe
not with brothers, lol), and it is
unfortunate...But maybe now the guys can pick
up someone who can add a whole new dimension

I wasn't saying that anyone had a grudge
against anybody, what I was trying to say was
to not blame anybody until the whole story is
out...No one really knows what happened
except the band and the staff...Maybe it was
Joe that was the bad guy?!?! Who knows...At
this point it's still all he said he said

Like I said, I wasn't pointing fingers and
saying that anyone is holding a grudge or
blaming anyone...It's just that I've
been through this type of stuff with bands
I've been in before and people form
opinions before they've heard the whole

that joe is gone but they are not gonna
replace him withone else(which is a good
thing)but that his gone for good because he

I have legit reason to believe that Joe was
thrown out because of the type person he's
become. Not exactly your model human, and the
type of trouble he was bringing, the band
could have been devastating and I think it
was in the Band's best interest to get rid
of him. Good luck to Pete and Sam, I'm
