Christa has been performing since the age of 9 yrs old, debuting at that young age in her first Opera in 1979, "Le Boheme", which paved her way to the beginning of her professional music and songwriting/singing career. Graduated from Notre Dame in 1987, she is also an Alumni from SUNY HCCC for Radio/TV, SUNY MVCC for Human Services and of SUNY OCC for Music Performance/Music Business and Boston University Paralegal Certification. Christa is now an ASCAP member and has written well over 100 songs to her credit. Having been trained on the piano, vocals, and viola, she has performed in a number of venues, coffeehouses, parties, concerts, and shows in upstate NY. She was awarded 3rd place winner for Spirit of Syracuse vocal competition, the Editors Choice Award 2001 from Int. Poet's Society, and featured on Metropolitan's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals 2002-2006 national business directory.
From 1989-1993, she served as Assistant Director for an after school music tutorial program called "Music in The City: A Sound Alternative". It was a pilot anti-drug project to get children off the streets and steer them back through a music/arts program to aid the inner city school district. Since then she has concentrated on her career fulltime as a music services professional, singer/songwriter, and has directed several church choirs for adults and children. More about this unique music program and incentive system created by her and Director, Linda Williams. In addition Christa served as a counselor and managed a community residence program with mentally challenged and special individuals from 1988-1992 as a Human Services professional counselor. She is the original 2000 founder of CJC Music http://www.cjcassociates.com providing music services and products in the industry and 2006 developer of the new CJC Music Learning Online virtual music education workshop program. Formally, she had a small teaching studio adjoined to Lisa Allen’s Dance Works and also provides consultation and paralegal services.
Her CD “Eclectic” is the second release edition that has caught the eye of fans and independent film globally. From the age of nine music has always been close to Christa's heart. Her latest CD Eclectic has some beautiful pieces on it. Simple Hello is about getting to the roots of understanding love. Discovering the Grey is about understanding the completeness of things just to name a few. This CD is packed with some cool electronic beats to suite the avid music lover. |
