In the early 80's Black Flags frontman Keith Morris left and met up with Red Kross' guitarist Greg Hetson and they started a band that a hardcore 80's scene. Morris and hetson met up with Roger Rogerson who would play bass and Lucky Lehrer on drums. They became The Circle Jerks. The band gained a large fan crowd of the skateboarding and slam dancing groups. They released their first album "Group Sex" in 1980. They were then chosen to write some songs for "The Decline of Western Civilization" and they did so. Their next to albums " Wild in the Streets" and "Golden Shower of Hits" shared the same loud fast music they had before. "Along Comes Mary," "Afternoon Delight," and "Having My Baby, " were some hits of AM radio they redid Circle Jerks style. The band then began to go in more of a metal direction. They released anthologys and greatest hits cds. The band stayed together but died out as a fad. Even if they died out then they are still around now.
