This is hiphop with a message...i am not a fan of artists going on about bitches ,gold and cars or any of that destructive consumershit. I believe hiphop to be a medium that is there to inform as well as entertain. Opening minds rather than wallets.
Civillianslave began in 2004.At present all music is done on my P.C through live recordings and samples.
As a vocalist i have been performing since i was 15 years old. I have been in 5 bands since. It wasnt til i was 19 i came to do rap, i heard saul williams
doing poetry over a hip hop track and it blew me away. He is the master lyricist as far as i'm concerned. when i was growing up i was influenced by the likes of Zack De La Rocha,Chuck D, The Beastie Boys.
