| Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s work is the expression of a genius. He was, indeed, one of the greatest composers in the classic music history. In this CD, third volume of a series, the pianist Clara Sverner reproduces the creativity and musical matureness of this immortal artist. Her compositions represent Mozart’s greatest songs from her personal point of view.
Acclaimed composer and music critic Ronaldo Miranda describes Clara Sverner’s Mozart 3 as a series of irreproachable sonatas with perfect melodic alignment, movements and poetic sound harmony. A good example is the great Sonata in A major, K311, related to the splendid Alla Turca that refers to the opera "The Abduction From the Seraglio”, composed by Mozart in the 18th century. Then, in a totally different style comes Sonata K310 – that reflects a dramatic magnitude - written when his mother died in 1778. Sonata K311 has a magic and happy aura, as well as a powerful structure that balances emotion and reason. Another musical pearl interpreted by Clara Sverner is Sonata K330, a piece composed at Mozart’s top phase. This central part of the album reflects the great author’s melodic fluency and is beautifully interpreted by the pianist as touching wordless songs.
The album has a broader meaning in the musical world, celebrating the author’s 250th birthday with vibrant sonatas in a period in which we are discussing the positive and mental effects (the Mozart Effect) over concentration and reasoning of human beings.
A true gift for all admirers of the real essence in the world classic music.
Clara Sverner
“I was with my parents in a hotel in the city of Sao Lourenço when I noticed a pianist playing nearby. In spite of being a restless child, I got hypnotized and did not want to leave the place. Those sounds captivated me immediately.” So the child grew up to become one of the most important Brazilian pianists.
Clara started her first concerts at the age of six in radio stations at a time there was no television. And was taught by the best teachers in the country like José Kliass and Kollreuter, to mention a few. As a teenager, she studied in Switzerland and New York.
One of her trademarks is “Innovation”. This talented interpreter is responsible for spreading the fame of excellent composers like Chiquinha Gonzaga and Pixinguinha, among others.
Recording in 2005 at Teatro Cultura Artistica (in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil) Clara interpreted with grace, confidence and a creative style a precious repertory for this new album. |
