Coolio's real name is Artis Ivey Jr. he is 5 '9. He was born in Los Angeles in August 1963. And his spouse's name is Josefa Salinas. He first began performing in high school. Even though he came from a bad back ground he was never in a gang or a serious crime. He recorded his debut album IT TAKES A THIEF in 1994. The record became an instant hit. Then in 1995 Coolio recorded GANGSTA'S PARIDISE whose title track was the biggest rap single of the year. Coolio was one of the biggest rap star 's in the 90's
