Spawned from Los Angeles, California, Crazy Town was formed by Seth “Shifty” Binzer and Bret “Epic” Mazur. From being close friends at an early age, these two were young rappers in the making.
Later on in life, the duo began having ideas for a rock band, and rounded up a few other members to tag along on their oncoming dream. Guitar players, Anthony “Trouble” Valli and Rust Epique had been hired for the job; with their incredible guitar skills; Shifty and Epic were more than happy to have them in the group. After two guitarists, the band began looking for a bass player and ended up with Favdoe Deelay who was sure not to disappoint. It wasn’t long before the band began to crack down to serious business.
Together they had produced a number of songs and melodies to record some music as their original band name, “The Brimstone Sluggers”. At first they never began to record an actual album as they were continuously helping other people such as “Divine Styler”, who are now known as ‘Black Eyed peas’. Finally, after all the helping assistance they gave, the band broke off to work on their own goals.
The band focused on creating a hip-hop group with a full line-up of instruments to back up the rapping. Changing their name to ‘Crazy Town’, they released their first CD called ‘The Gift Of The Game’ in 1999.
In 2001 the band created their debut album, ‘Darkhorse’. The two singles they had decided to release from the album didn’t quite get the recognition they had planned for. However, all of that was about to change when their last single, ‘Butterfly’. It became a huge hit that was played throughout the states and many other countries.
Crazy Town were recognised all over the world thanks to the uplifting single.
