Distinct One is a 22 year old MC from Columbus, Ohio. He has been rockin the mic for over 7 years now. D1 and fellow rapper Sage (Aligned Minds) have been doing shows around Columbus the past few months. They are currently working on their album "All of the Above", executive produced by Schizo - a talented beat crafter from the UK. They will also be dropping a mixtape that will feature collaborations from many Columbus artists.
D1 recently joined the Forever Fam crew which was started by DJ Meddafore (Philly's Hip-Hop mixtape DJ of the year for the past 4 years). The crew also consists of a few other artists including rapper Splitt and producer Elite (Ruff Ryders/QN5 Music). 2006 is going to be a big year for the group. Everyone is focused and on their grind more than ever. Look out for D1 on the mixtape scene in the near future. |
