she got discoverd at a kriss kross concert and they showed her to j.d. and he was so pleased with her he automatically signed her to his label So So DEF .when dabrat first started out in 1994 with her album funkdafied she went to the top of the charts and sold over 800,000 copies in 1 month. she was a great success with that. then soon after she blew it up with the album anuthatantrum with the hit singles ghetto love and sittin on top of the world. It was 3 years before her next album came out . But in between that time she was in a tv show and featured on song soundtracks and did remixes with other stars . On April 12,2000 when her album came out she imidiately moved right back up to the top of the charts. She won the women of the year award . She showed the world her new look on the day the Soultrain awards first appeared in 2000. Every one was surprised. Then alot of gurls started hatin and guys wanted to get with her.
A few months later she made a remix with Destiny's Child -Jumpin Jumpin also featuring Lil Bow Wow and J.D. She appeared on the video I've got to have it with J.D. Nas,AND Monica, and then Lil Bow Wow's video Bounce With ME also j.e. was in there. Da Brats birthday is April 14 born in 1974 in Chicago Illionois . Her moms name is Nadine Brewer and hers is Shawntae Harris, she is very sensitive . She has a condo in ATLANTA ,GA. She has her own label Throwin Tantrums inc.
