A Da DaGga aka Chris Carnegie straight from Spanish Town, Thompson Pen Beacon Hill, Kingston Jamaica. First Attended Greendale basic, Chedego Park primary, Healtam High. My experience in Jamaica was a sign and wonder of 13 years breathing for a better future. Came to Canada at the age of 14, living in Malton for 5 years attending Lincoln M Alexander SS, then Humber College (2006/2008) where I studied Culinary Arts. I worked in this Industry for one year, while working at Woodbine Racetrack I started directing my focus to music.
Questions:
Why did I choose to pursue music over cooking?
To me I enjoy doing both, I jus get a more HIGH in music, as a matter of fact; “music is cooking”. I used to always sing while I cook in the kitchen.
What/who motivated me to sing?
What, would be my strong will an determination to never give up, whom would be my Empress; she’s that spark to my battery of life.
Who inspires me to create these lyrics?
My Icon Vybez Kartel, Adijah Palmer aka ADDi Di Teacha; he’s the prime example of Success, Money, and Power.
Bob Marley; he’s the true sole of reggae, the Flint to the forever burning torch in reggae music.
Kenio Carnegie; AkA Nago. Ushaka Carnegie, Otis Mullings, Wayne Carnegie AkA Sandino and Big SiS Denise.
