| Down in the depths of the bible belt in North Alabama is where the true evil breeds. This band was originated back in 2000, but yet made official in May 2005. Michael Terrell (guitar) and Brandon Murphy (vocals) met when they were 14 while attending high school together. Both die hard fans of metal, both with a passion for music. Rantz Tussey's (drums) raw, hard hitting, driving drum sound was met with the heavy, chunky, sludgey guitar sound from Terrell along with the deep, bellowing vocals of Murphy to create DarKenD. An instant buzz was created among the three. Long time supporter, roadie, Josh Stewart (bass) blended his melodic, thumping bass sound to the mix along the way. This is a metal quartet that sounds like no other. Not "old school", and not neccesarily "new" either. Just pure metal, that's the best way to explain it. The goal among the four is to write what feels right, remain as heavy as possible, and to stay away from trends. These guys are in for the long haul and will take down whatever stands in their way. |
