DAVE LOWE is a multi-talented singer/songwriter/keyboardist/producer.
Although Smooth Jazz and R&B are his forte he writes, performs and produces Rock and Caribbean music as well.
Born in Manhattan, NYC, Dave Lowe began his musical training at the age of 6 with classical piano lessons, performing in his first recital at the age of 7. In addition he played clairnet for several years in his school's orchestra and was a vocal soloist in the school choir. At the age of 11, he began composing simple pop and R&B songs for piano and vocals and collaborating with peers, who were local writers and musicians. By the age of 13 Dave was performing with bands in the Nothern N.J. area. In High School his band won talents shows and performed at local dances.
After graduation, Dave attended Howard University, Washington, D.C. as a Jazz Studies and Piano Major. Subsequently, he continued to write and compose songs in various genres including Jazz, R&B snd Caribbean and music.
In 1990, Dave published his first song entitled, "Love So New" and became a member of BMI. Early in 1999, Dave began the "Dawn of a New Day" CD project, which was completed in 2003. Subsequently, two of his songs, "Heaven in Your Life" and "Moments Notice", were covered by HillTop Records recording artist Cody Lyons on the "America" CD project, which was released in February 2004.
However, previously in 1995, he established Dimensions Unlimited Music Co., a music production and publishing entity and originated the act "Dave Lowe & the Spirit of One", to promote his original material.
Dave Lowe has also performed with a variety of musical acts and artists such as (world renowned R&B and Blues saxophonist) Lonnie Youngblood, Melvin Davis (keyboardist for George Benson) and has been mentored by the late Latin Jazz Piano great Hilton Ruiz, former RCA recording artist. He has had vocal training with Arthur Bryant the former chairman of Essex County NJ College Music Dept. and Founder of the Essex County chapter of N.A.N.M. and Phil Thomas Jr. the lead singer of the Crown Heights Affair.
