David McAfee is a singer/songwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that is currently attending Grove City College about an hour from the city. David began playing for the indie/rock band “Recession”, and moved on to play lead guitarist for "Echo Silence" (formerly This Time Running) for three years, in that time recording three CD’s and playing shows with “The Switch”, “Second Solution”, and “Johnny Thunder”. Upon leaving the band he finally decided to pursue his true love: pop rock with singer-songwriter sensibilities. Combining personal and honest lyrics with the melodic and simple styling’s of artists such as U2, Pete Yorn, and Ryan Adams, David began recording a series of demo’s playing every instrument, and accumulating a repertoire of approximately 60 songs. This summer, McAfee will be touring the east coast with “Recession”, as well as playing at coffee shops and clubs in the Pittsburgh region.
