Dee began singing at an early age forming her first group at the age of 12. This group consisted of her siblings ages 8, 6, and 4 along with church friends. They traveled with the Cooper Ministries all around Texas with their father and pastor, Elder Noble L. Cooper, Sr.
At the age of 17, Dee gave her life totally to God and remain singing with her siblings until leaving for college. Dee continued singing with groups Youth for Christ until she married. After marriage, she began singing with The Durden Singers recording a CD with them in 2001 entitled, God Sent Me an Angel. On this CD, Dee wrote the song, We Give The Glory, along with her brother-in-law and sung the lead along with him.
Dee continued to assist the Cooper Ministries with her vocal and musical talents and supported certain events and special occasions along with her brothers, Noble and Terry Cooper, both elders and musicians. She also played keyboard for the Durden Singers along with her husband, bass guitarist, Anthony Durden.
In 2003, she recorded her first single CD entitled The Lord is my Shepherd. After recording her single, she promised to record the full CD. In 2005, Dee recorded the full CD live at the Evangelist Temple Church in Houston, Texas. This CD entitled "The Lord is My Shepherd Live" is touching the hearts of many, many people here in the U.S. and in several other countries.
Her main songs are "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Get Over It". Both songs were recorded with the best of the best musicians: The Braxton Brothers and The Good Shepherd Production. This CD also included a Gospel Jamboree entitled a Gospel Medley in which 5 elders of her family play their guitar music in honor of their father, Rev. Noble L. Cooper, one of the God's greatest pioneers of old.
Dee's life has also been enriched by the ministry of the Potter's House of Dallas, Texas. She served as a servant and member of the choir and is now a partner in this life-changing ministry. Her music and books were greatly influenced by this healing ministry. |
