Define everything you stand for in a single word?
For this rock trio there is more to DeniM than the name might suggest; it is the everyday item in your musical wardrobe. DeniM is a melting pot of rock and an energetically passionate live show. With a big arena landscape sound; up-tempo-feel-good rock it focuses on guitar driven melodies and thought provoking lyrical content. Many of the bands influences sprout through their music in glimpses from the sounds and philosophies of U2, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Muse, & Powderfinger. DeniM treats every show individually and performances strongly prophesize the most important aspect of our show communicating with our audience, our fans known as our ‘genes’. Not much escapes the attention of these rock crusaders which makes their work all the more interesting.
Forming in 2003 DeniM began on the Sydney live circuit basing their music and sound around memorable live performances. Today DeniM’s ever evolving sound is seen & heard at prominent venues such as Gaelic Theatre, Annandale Hotel, Cat & Fiddle Hotel & the Basement. Major performances include the Bondi Winter Festival - supporting the black seeds (NZ – double gold album achievers), the National theatre in Melbourne where they reached the finals of the Nation wide soundcheck competition & the Uni Bar in Hobart.
DeniM has achieved growing success. Chosen to feature on the Live at the Cat & Fiddle compilation CD Vol. II recently released through 456 records and MGM. They are the 2006 winners of the Laney band comp; recently returned from a successful Tasmanian tour; performed on Television’s TVS channel as a featured artist of the COUCH program and have featured on the Guide Program in a documentary of the band’s progress which including the massive EP launch of Take The Music & Run to a full house at the Bridge Hotel in September 2006. The show was filmed by TVS & received some great reviews in local media such as Inner western courier. "Take the music & run" is a representation of an ever evolving band in an ever evolving world. Their previous EP 'Just Can’t Stop' has been played and showcased on radio stations Fbi 94.5fm and 2RDJ 88.1fm. Documentary film makers Warrior Films continually choose to use DeniM’s music for their DVD releases and have been doing so for over a year now.
From here DeniM will continue touring Australia with 456 records promoting our show and continue building our fan base. Our next EP release is due out April and we aim to be able to reach a wide national and possible international audience by the end of 2007.
Our existence is in your hands, DeniM is in our genes!
