Destiny's child all started out in Houston texas. girls time was the original name for the girls when they were younger Beyonce' was a vocalist,Letoya a vocalist,Kelly a voalist, and latavia a rapper/vocalist. "Girls time" went on many talent shows even star search but being that they didn't win Matthew Knowles(Beyonce's father/Manager)Knew it was a time to take things seriously..jogging and singing,days after school,weekends etc led them to get a record deal with elektra records but with one album that flopped, "Girls Time" flopped as well...With devasted girls they Matthew was determined to make them dreams come true! Tina Knowles was flabbergasted on day when she saw in the bible a name "Destiny's Child" she figured the name would fit and it did three albums later, law suits, replacements of Latavia and Letoya with Michelle Williams a local church girl, and Farrah Fanklin.. Later Farrah was to be dropped due to lack of participation...Led them to be one of the best female groups in the 21st century!!
