The Devil Bats (aka. Vampirick and the Devil Bats) came about in 1998. What started as a joke, ended up taking most of Rick's quality time. Writing songs and listening to great music influenced his will to start a band. After months and years of writing, picking the tunes was difficult, but in double time, it was complete.
In the begining Rick recorded and played most instruments, but also had the aid of his brothers. After a good/bad deal of line-up changes, today it is as follows :
Ricko: vocal/guitar
Jerry: guitar/backing vocals
Tom: bass/backing vocals
Xina13: drums
We are in the midst of writing and recording more tunes. We know you can hear the likes of the rock n roll mf's MISFITS,Guitar Wolf, SAMHAIN, Murder City Devils, but we know that we can achieve higher personal goals. We love the songs as they were and always be, but as a band, we will advance. And continue making monumentals and elegy's that will pierce your imagination.
