Biography

Dir en grey (Kyo, Kaoru, Shinya, Toshiya, Die) made a strong impact when they hit the scene in 1997. Since their debut they have made 7 albums and roughly 17 singles each a progression of their unique style. Even though they have faced hardships with fans about \'changing their image\', the band presses on and delivers the bittersweet romance of their music with the release of \'Withering to Death\'. (2005)

The lyrics are beautifully written and soulful-the pain brought to life by the deranged vocals. The music has an overwhelming power when matched with the screams and groans of the vocalist Kyo; they flow together so seamlessly that they seem one and the same.

As you listen to each individual track the mission of Dir en grey becomes more evident. They wish to spread from their home in Japan and conquer the world with their maddening lyrics and insane guitar beats.

Why do they have X-Japan cruddy Dir en Grey and even Gackt but no Malice Mizer? Or am I just incapable of finding them?	xzar
there's no malice. I don't like them but I looked as well for my friends. I really like Dir en Grey though. they have a really good bassist. he let's it rip on Cage.	wyldebass
