THE DIRTYHAIRYS, a popular regional band from the southeast coast of Georgia, provides listeners with a diversified palate of musical genres to enjoy. Styles include classic rock, southern rock, blues, rhythm and blues, bluegrass, funk, folk, fusion, psychedelic, reggae, and more. Original music draws from a variety of these influences, and reflects a southern island flavor indigenous of the coastal area. Cover music is highly diversified and tends to appeal to a broad spectrum of listeners. College aged clientele, island-hopping tourists, wedding reception partygoers, thirties-and-over bar patrons, and anyone who is a fan of the best music of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, will all find favorite songs to enjoy.
THE DIRTYHAIRYS was founded in September of 2001. Lanny Grammer (drums, vocals) and Bill Spell (guitar, vocals), formerly of Rhythm- Method (1996-2001), joined forces with Dave Raczynski (guitar, vocals), formerly of Stonegroove (1996-1998). The band is now pleased to report the addition of Mason Waters (bass, vocals) - formerly of several acts in the Nashville, Tennessee area, and known locally as a lifetime member of The Vic Waters Band. Guest musicians frequently also join in. THE DIRTYHAIRYS, currently available as a three, four, and five-piece band, now boasts over 100 years combined professional experience in entertaining crowds with their unique blend of styles of music.
