We are Displacement, a 5-piece Thrash Metal band from Bolton....
Our music is comprised of unrelenting brutal riffs, speedy tempos and catchy melodies, brought together with an uncompromising will to speak our minds on a varied range of subjects....
The Displacement live show is extremely energetic, due to the highly active and captivating music that we play. Every member puts as much effort into our performance as possible, to help propel the energy across to the audience....
Displacement was formed by Colin (Lead Guitar), Mike (Bass Guitar) and Stef (Rhythm Guitar) in January 2004. Karl (Drums) and Danny (Vocals) completed the line up and we began to work on a short set for our first gig 4 weeks later. Since then we have played over 50 gigs all across the country, and managed to build up a huge following of dedicated fans in and around Bolton....
To help us create the desired Displacement Live Act and sound, we knew that we would need a competent Front Man for the band. Danny was replaced by Ben in September of 2004, and his raw, powerful vocals and expressive lyric writing have been an important assets to the band ever since....
There are currently two Displacement recordings available. The first is an 8-track Demo CD recorded in October 2004, titled "Loud And Pi***ed Up Bolton Metal Scum". The most recent, "Victims Of Tomorrow", is far superior and features 4 of our most popular tracks....
As well as playing and writing in Displacement, we have also played a key role in the live music scene in and around Bolton. We have been responsible for organising many gigs and all-day festivals for Bolton Metal Alliance with the aim of providing our loyal friends and fans with the music that they deserve....
