The Distillers were originally composed of Brody Armstrong, Kim chi (bass), Rose Casper (guitar), and Matt (drums). The group formed in late 1998 after discovering all the members had a love for hardcore punk music. After some touring, the group was signed to Epitaph records. In April 2001, The distillers released their self-titled, debut album. In 2002, they released their sophomore album entitled Sing Song Death house. The album contained the acclaimed single, “Seneca Falls.” By this time, however, the band had gone through many changes. The only members who were left were Armstrong, Ryan, and a new drummer; Outbreak. In 2003, The Distillers released Coral Fang on Sire records
